Tewkesbury is a town on the River Severn. It is where the River Avon joins the River Severn (the Confluence).

 

 

Tewkesbury has a famous Abbey (DRN used to sing in the Abbey Choir)

Tewkesbury suffered very badly in the floods of July 2007.

 

 

DRN's old house is off the left hand edge of this picture- fortunately it didn't get flooded as it is on higher ground!

 

Look at this version of the same picture. It has been edited in Photoshop to make it look like a model- using a technique known as tilt-shift.

It does this by making the foreground and background out of focus.
